The Zonta Club of Toronto 1 Cytology Award |
||||||||||||||||||||
This Award is given to one student entering her 2nd year of the Cytology programme at the Michener Institute of Health Sciences. Cytology interprets cellular sample and assists in the early detection of diseases such as cancer. The winner of the 2009 Diagnositc Cytology Award is Wen-yu (Tricia) Lee. |

The Zonta Club of Toronto 1 Mammography Award |

This Award is given to one student entering her 3rd year of the Radiography programme at the Michener Institute of Health Sciences and taking the Mammography elective. Each of these Awards covers the annual tuition costs of the student. The 2009 winner of the Mammography (Radiological Technology) at the Michener is Jia Zhu. Doris M. Tucker/Zonta Club of Toronto Award |

Established in partnership with the Tucker family, this award is given to a student attending Woodsworth College, University of Toronto. Klausman award is Natalie Ngo of Toronto, who has just completed third year in at the Richard Ivey School at the University of Western Ontario. |

The Zonta Fellowship at Ryerson University |

Established 2007, in memory of past member Marlene Simmonds. The purpose of the Award is to recognize the academic achievement of one full-time female student in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology entering their fourth year of study in the program. Students must demonstrate an interest in the area of improving the social, economic and legal status of women. Danielle Gauer is the 2009/10 recipient of the award. Young Women in Public Affairs Award |

|
The goal of the Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Program is to encourage young women to participate in public and political life by recognizing their commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to the advancement of the status of women. The Zonta Club of Toronto is offering an award of CAN $500 through a competitive application process. The local winner becomes eligible to compete for an additional Zonta District award of US $ 1,000. District award winners can compete for a US $3,000 international award. Click here to visit site. Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Award |

Established in 1998, this scholarship is awarded to women pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, leading to a business management career. The program was established from a bequest by Jane M. Klausman, a member of the Zonta Clubof Syracuse, New York and the 1990-1995 Zonta International Parliamentarian. During her career, Ms. Klausman was a professional secretary, parliamentarian and entrepreneur. The Zonta Club of Toronto is offering an award of CAN $500. Our winner becomes eligible to compete for an additional Zonta District award of US $500; district award winners can compete for a US $5,000 international award. Click here to visit site. The 2010 application will be available on the Zonta International site after December 31. The deadline is May 14, 2010 The Zonta Club of Toronto also mentors a local Z-Club, an organization that encourages service at the high school level. Our 2008-09 Jane M. Klausman award has been awarded to Samantha Seto of the University of Toronto. Samantha Seto has also been awarded the International level of the Jane M. Klausman scholarship from Zonta International. The 2008-09 award was made possible by a generous donation from Investors Group. |
